Charges of unlicensed operation, resisting arrest and more filed against North Country resident in Lewis County

DENMARK- A North Country area resident is faced with various charges in Lewis County.

During the afternoon hours on Monday, the New York State Police (Carthage) arrested and charged Eric J. Ames, 43, of Dexter, NY with one count each of aggravated unlicensed operation in the second-degree; resisting arrest; obstructing governmental administration and suspended registration.

According to Troopers, these charges were all filed in the town of Denmark.

At press time, Ames’ arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.
