INVESTIGATORS: North Country resident charged with class A felony sex offense in Lewis County

CROGHAN- A North Country resident is accused of a felony sex offense charge in Lewis County.

On Thursday morning, the New York State Police (Lowville) arrested and charged William H. McNeely, 54, of Carthage, NY with one class A felony count of predatory sexual assault against a child (under the age of 13).

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from a sex offense investigation last Sunday in the town of Croghan.

At press time, authorities said that McNeely was held, without bail.
