LCHS welcomes new Internal Medicine Physician to the medical staff

LCHS Scott Mitchell

LEWIS COUNTY- Internal Medicine Physician Dr. Scott H. Mitchell is being welcomed to the medical staff at Lewis County Health System.

He joins Robert Semlear, M.D., and Family Nurse Practitioners Alison Kiser, Amy Phair, and Laci Reilly as valued members of the health center teams.

Patients are now able to book appointments by calling the Beaver River Health Center at 315-346-6824, or the Copenhagen Health Center at 315-688-2305.

Dr. Mitchell earned his medical degree from New York Medical College and a BA in Chemistry from Western Connecticut State University. He served as a Communication Specialist in the U.S. Army (82nd Airborne) and as a Combat Medic in the Connecticut National Guard.

For more than 28 years, Dr. Mitchell has worked in private practice. Most recently, he provided patient care at Family Practice Associates' Carthage and Watertown offices.

Prior to joining this group in 2013, he worked at Internal Medicine of Northern New York in Watertown.

"I am excited to welcome new patients, provide compassionate medical care, and help each individual manage chronic health conditions so they can reach their health and wellness goals," Dr. Mitchell said.
