LOWVILLE- Lewis County Health System has announced the appointment of its next Chief Executive Officer.

Jeffery W. Hellinger has been given the nod to take over come August 4 and will be following in the footsteps of a 9-year leadership from current CEO, Gerry Cayer.

Mr. Hellinger has been at the helm of Chief Financial Officer since 2013 and has since been well seasoned with daily operation efforts for several departments, including finance, information systems, communications and others.

“Jeff has demonstrated exceptional leadership, deep financial expertise, and a strong commitment to the mission of the Health System,” said Board of Managers President, Michael F. Young.

“Mr. Cayer has built a strong foundation, and I look forward to advancing our shared commitment to high quality, accessible care for the citizens of Lewis County and the surrounding region,” Mr. Hellinger said.

According to figures at LCHS, Mr. Hellinger has been a central figure in strengthening the System’s financial position, advancing operational stability, and supporting major strategic initiatives across hospital, primary care, and long-term care services.
