North Country resident pronounced deceased in wake of Jefferson County motorcycle accident

WILNA- A North Country area resident has died in the wake of a motorcycle accident last Friday in Jefferson County.

According to New York State Police Investigators, it happened sometime shortly after 10:00 p.m. on State Route 3, town of Wilna. Authorities determined that Damon S. Intorcia, 21, of Carthage, NY was heading west on a Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

It is reported that Intorcia somehow went off the northern shoulder of the roadway and struck a guide-wire.

This caused Intorcia to be thrown from the bike. Emergency personnel who responded to the scene formally pronounced Intorcia deceased.

At press time, State Police concluded that there was no evidence of any foul play and the investigation has been closed.
