NYSP: North Country suspect charged in Lewis County felony fraud case

CROGHAN- A North Country area person is faced with a pair of felony accusations in the wake of a Lewis County fraud investigation in late 2024.

On May 28, the New York State Police (Lowville) announced the arrest of Johnnathan Patrick Foy, 35, of Natural Bridge, NY with one felony count each of grand larceny in the third-degree (property values exceeding $3,000) and identity theft in the first-degree (assuming another’s identity while obtaining goods exceeding $2,000).

According to Troopers, this arrest stems in the wake of a reported fraud complaint in late December, 2024 in the town of Croghan.

At press time, police said that Foy was released and there were no further details provided.
