
LOWVILLE- A property damage accident at a North Country retail store in late January resulted in the arrest of a local resident, authorities say.
It was just before 8:00 p.m. last Wednesday when police were notified by 9-1-1 dispatch of a property damage accident at the Lowville, NY Walmart.
Details regarding the incident were not specified by the Sheriff's Office, however; Deputies ended up arresting a subject, who was officially identified as Damien M. Breen, 24, of Boonville, NY.
Breen was taken to the Public Safety Building after allegedly failing field sobriety tests on scene.
During processing, Breen registered a .12% BAC, police said. Breen was formally charged with DWI and DWI (.08 of 1% or more BAC).
Breen was released with appearance tickets, which are returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
