ROME- A female suspect is accused of robbery and petit larceny after the city police department investigated a theft complaint last Friday evening.

Ashleigh P. Rimiller, 32, has been formally charged with one count each of robbery in the third-degree and petit larceny.

Patrols received a tip involving a theft last Friday evening around 8:00 p.m. at Domino’s (Erie Boulevard West). Police subsequently found out that a tip jar was stolen from the establishment by Rimiller.

While on-scene, officers were approached by a female victim who reported that Rimiller had just allegedly stolen her vape-pen.

Specifically, police said that Rimiller forcefully took a backpack from the victim, removed a vape pen from inside the bag, and fled the scene.

Officers located Rimiller a short distance away and took her into custody without further incident.

She was processed at Rome Police Headquarters and transported to the Oneida County Jail for pre-arraignment detention.
