State Police charge resident with criminal contempt in New Bremen

NEW BREMEN- A domestic incident in Lewis County has resulted in a charge filed against a resident.

Julie C. Stanton, 21, (no address provided) was arrested on Monday afternoon by the New York State Police (Lowville) for one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree (disobeying court order).

According to Troopers, the accusation stems from a reported domestic family offense in the town of New Bremen earlier that afternoon.

At press time, authorities said that Stanton was released.

There were no further details provided.
