Suspect broke window to victim's car before forcefully removing her during town of Lee domestic incident, Deputies allege

ONEIDA COUNTY- A local resident is faced with several charges connected to a reported domestic incident this week in the town of Lee.

Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ameen Alomari, 23, of Rome, NY on Tuesday on one felony count each of robbery in the second-degree and grand larceny in the fourth-degree; one misdemeanor count each of criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief in the fourth-degree and menacing in the third-degree; and a violation of harassment in the second-degree.

According to Sheriff’s Investigators, Alomari is accused of breaking a window to the victim’s vehicle before placing his hands on her neck and then forcefully removing her.

This all occurred before Alomari reportedly fled from the scene.

At press time, police said that Alomari was held, pending an arraignment in CAP Court.
