ONEIDA COUNTY- Robert Maciol is congratulating his Republican challenger for being the Sheriff elect of Oneida County.
It was a very close race, with Jared Pearl, who has three decades of law enforcement under his belt, including with the New York State Police, edging out Sheriff Maciol 39,027 votes to 37,185.
“To everyone who stood with us, thank you for your trust, your hard work, and your friendship,” Sheriff Maciol said.
“I congratulate Jared Pearl on his victory and wish him nothing but success in serving and protecting Oneida County.”
“I’d like to thank Sheriff Rob Maciol for his years of service and dedication to Oneida County residents,” Mr. Pearl said.
“My team and I look forward to the challenging work ahead.”
Sheriff Maciol began his law enforcement career at the age of 20 with the New York Mills Police Department.
After moving to Whitesboro, Maciol worked for another 21-years before being first elected to Sheriff in the fall of 2010.
Sheriff Maciol has always focused his law enforcement attention and resources on the victims of violence and crimes.
