ONEIDA COUNTY- There is no suspicion of any malicious intent as local firefighters say the cause of Tuesday morning’s blaze outside the village of Boonville, NY remains under investigation.
Alarms sounded sometime shortly before 7:00 a.m. for reports of a structure fire on Smith Road. An exact address has yet to be officially reported.
Boonville Fire Department was the primary responder, with assistance received thanks to Constableville, Remsen and Woodgate.
Officials from Boonville Fire Department say there was a camper parked near a trailer home. It caught fire and spread to the trailer home.
No injuries were reported and the camper was destroyed. Meanwhile, the trailer home received extensive damage as well.
Amidst a snow squall while responding to the call, firefighters said slippery road conditions presented a challenge.
