Carthage burglary investigation results in arrest, police say

CARTHAGE- A burglary investigation over the weekend has resulted in the arrest of a North Country area resident.

On Sunday, the Carthage Police Department announced the arrest of Harley Sanders, 51, of Carthage, NY on one felony count of burglary in the third-degree and a misdemeanor of petit larceny.

According to police, these charges stem from a theft and burglary investigation from an address at Northstar Auto and Salvage, located on West End Avenue.

At press time, authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and further arrests are expected.

Meanwhile, Sanders was arraigned and then remanded to the county jail on $500 cash, $1,000 secured or $2,000 partially secured bond.
