Croghan resident accused of criminal mischief in Jefferson County

CARTHAGE- Authorities say a Lewis County resident is faced with an accusation stemming from a North Country harassment complaint.

According to the New York State Police (Carthage), Shawn Allen Petrie, 51, of Croghan, NY was formally arrested and charged on Tuesday evening for one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief (w/intent to damage property).

Troopers say this arrest stems from a harassment complaint filed last Tuesday in the village of Carthage, NY.

At press time, Petrie’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
