
CLAYTON- A local resident from the North Country is faced with various felony and misdemeanor offenses stemming from a larceny investigation this week in Jefferson County.
Berngie Erich Daniel Schedllinski, 33, of Carthage, NY was arrested Tuesday afternoon by the New York State Police (Alex Bay) for one felony count each of criminally possessing a weapon in the third-degree (w/a previous conviction), grand larceny in the third-degree (property values exceeding $3,000) and criminally possessing stolen property in the third-degree, along with one misdemeanor count each of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (w/out owner’s consent) and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.
Troopers say these charges all stem from a larceny complaint filed on June 6 in the village of Clayton, NY.
At press time, authorities said an investigation was pending and Schedllinski’s arrest status was listed as held (no bail).
