Domestic dispute in Lyonsdale results in felony and misdemeanor charges against Lewis County resident

LYONSDALE- A domestic incident over the weekend in the Southern part of Lewis County has resulted in various charges against a local resident, including felony accusations.

Nicholas A. Ripp, 30, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested and charged on Sunday afternoon by the New York State Police for one felony count each of criminal contempt in the first-degree and criminal mischief in the third-degree (damage another person’s property with amounts exceeding $250).

Ripp was also charged with one misdemeanor count each of criminal contempt in the second-degree and acting in a manner injurious to a child (under 17).

These charges all stem from a reported town of Lyonsdale domestic incident on Friday evening.

At press time, Ripp’s arrest status was listed as cash bail. There were no further details provided.
