Felony charge lodged against Herkimer County resident following domestic dispute in Newport

NEWPORT- A Herkimer County area resident is faced with a felony offense after police looked into a reported domestic incident over the weekend.

According to the New York State Police (Herkimer), Casey Dawn Carroll, 38, of Newport, NY was arrested and charged on Saturday night with one felony count of criminal mischief in the third-degree (damage another person’s property with amounts exceeding $250).

Troopers said this arrest stems from a town of Newport domestic incident, which was reported late Saturday afternoon.

At press time, there was no arrest status listed for Carroll.
