WILNA- A pair of felony charges has been lodged against a North Country resident in the wake of a Jefferson County burglary investigation.

William A. Carroll, 40, of Natural Bridge, NY was arrested and charged on Wednesday morning by the New York State Police (Lowville) for one felony count each of burglary in the third-degree (illegal entry w/intent to commit a crime) and criminal mischief in the third-degree (damaging another person’s property w/damages exceeding $250).

Troopers said these charges trace back to a town of Wilna burglary complaint, which was filed Tuesday afternoon.

At press time, Carroll’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
