Lewis and Oneida County Fairs promote sensory spaces available for use

Lewis County Fair 2023

LOWVILLE & BOONVILLE- County fairs can be incredibly fun, especially with all of the exciting lights, sounds and magic like atmosphere.

But for some, the fair and large crowds that are often times associated can become a very overwhelming experience.

That’s why our local Lewis and Boonville-Oneida County Fairs have taken on the initiative to provide a space for people to take a few minutes and reset.

Folks visiting the Lewis County Fair are reminded of Addie’s Sensory Garden in the Forest Park Pavilion (across from the bathrooms).

For folks planning to visit the Boonville-Oneida County Fair, Heddy's Haven Sensory building is located behind the first-aid hut and is available for use from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.

Both of these sensory retreats are available for families to use during the fairs.

The Lewis County Fair continues through Saturday, July 25, while the Boonville-Oneida County Fair is aimed to start Tuesday, July 28 and run through Sunday, August 2.
