MARTINSBURG- Authorities say a resident from Lewis County has been charged for the same offense twice within the 24-hour period.

Brian R. Sprowl, 53, of Lowville, NY was arrested and charged on Monday night by the New York State Police (Lowville) for one misdemeanor count of criminal contempt in the second-degree.

According to a report aired just recently, State Police said that Sprowl was charged with the same exact offense during the late afternoon hours on Sunday.

To clarify, the incidents in question stem from complaints filed in the town of Martinsburg, Troopers said.

At press time, Sprowl’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
