Mohawk Valley area suspect charged with felony for alleged criminal possession of stolen property in Forestport

FORESTPORT- A vehicle larceny case has resulted in a felony arrest in the Northern portion of Oneida County.

Floyd A. Thorne, 38, of Utica, NY was arrested Wednesday evening by the New York State Police (Marcy) for one felony count of criminally possessing stolen property in the third-degree (property values exceeding $3,000).

Troopers say the charge stems back to a vehicle larceny complaint in the town of Forestport.

At press time, authorities said Thorne’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.

There were no further details provided.
