Motorcyclist in Remsen crash with truck dies from injuries

REMSEN- The Sheriff’s Office in Oneida County has released a very tragic update concerning a serious accident last week involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck.

As previously reported, Daniel Ricci, 61, of Frankfort, NY was heading north on a Yamaha Motorcycle on State Route 12 on the afternoon of August 20.

Ricci struck a Ram truck, driven by Jordan Mirabito, 27, of Norwich, NY, who was proceeding from Steuben Street to cross the northbound lane and turn left to head south.

Ricci was flown to SUNY Upstate Medical Center, but according to the latest updates from Sheriff’s investigators, Ricci has since passed away from injuries suffered in the accident.

The investigation remains ongoing, police said at press time.
