LEWIS & ONEIDA COUNTIES- An update has surfaced from National Grid concerning the Beaver River – Porter 115Kv Transmission Rebuild Project.
According to officials, construction for the Beaver River substation is expected to begin on or around September 10 and is scheduled to be completed come winter, 2030.
National Grid says the process will be completed in phases and there may be periods of inactivity throughout the project.
Overall, this project aims to remove and rebuild the overhead electric transmission lines between Croghan and Marcy, NY.
The new Beaver River Substation will be erected in Croghan and will include civil work, installation of substation equipment and restoration.
