NEW: Victim flown to SUNY Upstate following incident with bulldozer early Tuesday at Oneida-Herkimer landfill

ONEIDA COUNTY- One person was flown out to a Syracuse, NY area hospital following an incident involving a bulldozer Tuesday morning at the landfill between West Leyden and Boonville, NY.

According to emergency officials who spoke with Flack Broadcasting, it happened sometime shortly after 8:30 a.m.

West Leyden was the primary responder to the Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority. Boonville provided mutual aid.

Emergency responders said members from the New York State Police and Oneida County Sheriff’s Office were on scene as well.

Though details remain slim as of this report, authorities said someone suffered injuries that stemmed from an incident involving a bulldozer.

They were flown to SUNY Upstate Medical Center.

We are waiting on further developments to surface from police investigators.
