LOWVILLE- A traffic stop over the weekend resulted in a felony DWI arrest for a North Country area resident.
It was shortly before 5:00 p.m. Friday when Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a 2015 Volkswagen Passat on East State Street.
The driver, Caitlin F. Bos, 45, of Canton, NY was heading north and was reportedly stopped for speeding, Deputies said.
During the traffic stop, police said that Bos appeared to show signs of intoxication. Bos subsequently failed field sobriety tests on scene and was taken to the Public Safety Building for processing.
While there, it is reported that Bos refused chemical testing. Due to having prior convictions, Bos was charged with felony DWI.
Bos was also charged with other unspecified traffic infractions.
Following an arraignment, Bos was released on appearance tickets, with all charges returnable to Lowville Town Court at a later date.
