BOONVILLE- A local resident from the North Country is accused of violating New York’s Alcohol Beverage Control Law by serving beverages at an establishment under an expired liquor license since last fall.

Danielle Jones, 52, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested on Monday by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office on one misdemeanor count of selling alcoholic beverages, without a license.

Back in February, investigators received a complaint from the NYS Liquor Authority, suggesting that Rookies Riverside Tavern, on Moose River Road in the Town of Boonville, had a liquor license that had expired in November of 2025, but the establishment had still allegedly been serving alcoholic beverages to customers.

Investigators followed up on the complaint and confirmed that it was true.

At press time, police said that Jones was issued with an appearance ticket, which is returnable to Boonville Town Court at a later date.
