REPORT: Rome stabbing murder suspect will stand trial this fall

ROME- The man accused of fatally stabbing someone earlier this spring will stand trial later this fall.

According to the latest reports from WKTV, jurors will be selected to hear the case of Gregory Mignot Jr., 47, starting November 9.

As previously reported, Mignot Jr. is accused of murdering Michael Brown back in April. Brown’s body was discovered in a wooded area off from Railroad Street.

Authorities said Brown suffered from stab wounds to his chest area.

Reports suggest that a Wade hearing took place recently at the Oneida County Courthouse, where Judge Robert Bower ruled that witness identification of Mignot Jr. as the suspect can be used at trial.
