Sheriff’s Office investigating serious accident between Boonville and West Leyden

ONEIDA COUNTY- The Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a serious accident that occurred Thursday morning in the very northern part of the county.

Details remain limited for now, but investigators can confirm that it happened on State Route 294, between Boonville and West Leyden, NY.

Various emergency responders assisted at the scene.

At press time, a portion of the roadway between State Route 26 and East Ava Road remained closed and police were urging motorists to avoid the area.
