State Police charge Lewis County resident with DWI in Croghan

CROGHAN- A North Country area resident is accused of intoxicated driving in Lewis County.

According to the New York State Police (Carthage), David C. Ovando, 60, of Beaver Falls, NY was arrested and charged late Saturday night with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).

Troopers said this arrest was made shortly before midnight in the town of Croghan.

At press time, Ovando’s arrest status was listed as “other.”
