State Police charge North Country resident with felony assault in Croghan

CROGHAN- A local resident from the North Country area is accused of felony assault in Lewis County.

The New York State Police (Lowville) arrested and charged Dale W. Zehr, 65, of Carthage, NY on Thursday evening with one felony count of assault in the second-degree (w/intent to cause serious physical injury).

According to Troopers, this arrest stems from a reported domestic dispute last Sunday morning in the town of Croghan.

At press time, authorities said that Zehr was released and that there were no further details provided.
