PORT LEYDEN- A local resident is accused of DWI in Southern Lewis County.
According to the New York State Police (Lowville), Joseph James Genovese, 59, of Rome, NY was arrested and charged on Thursday afternoon with one count each of DWI (first offense) and operating a motor vehicle (w/a .08 of 1% BAC or greater).
Troopers report that this arrest was made sometime after 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the village of Port Leyden.
At press time, police said that Genovese was issued with an appearance ticket.
