State Police in Lewis County make felony arrest concerning fraud case in Croghan

CROGHAN- A fraud complaint in Lewis County has resulted in a felony arrest.

On Tuesday afternoon, the New York State Police (Lowville) formally charged Ann Marie Saglimbeni, 46, of Schenectady, NY with one felony count each of grand larceny in the third-degree (property values exceeding $3,000) and identity theft in the first-degree (assume another’s identity and obtaining goods over $2,000 in value).

Troopers said this arrest stems from a fraud complaint filed during the winter of 2025 in the village of Croghan.

At press time, Saglimbeni’s arrest status suggested an appearance for centralized arraignment.
