
BOONVILLE- A traffic stop led to a DWI arrest Tuesday afternoon in the village.
It was sometime shortly after 4:30 p.m. when Boonville Police stopped a vehicle, which was reportedly driven by David Haig, 60, of Constableville, NY.
Officers claim they witnessed Haig commit traffic law violations. While interviewing Haig during the stop, police said they observed signs of possible intoxication.
As a result, Haig was placed under arrest and taken to the police station for processing.
A breath sample was given, but police did not indicate the BAC level.
Haig is formally charged with DWI and other unspecified traffic law violations.
Haig was issued with appearance tickets and is due to appear in Boonville Town Court at a later date.
