Troopers arrest Fort Drum resident for allegedly operating motor vehicle while impaired by drugs

WEST TURIN- A Jefferson County resident is accused of operating while impaired by drugs in the town of West Turin.

During the evening hours on Saturday, New York State Troopers (Lowville) arrested and charged Hamza Safi, 20, of Fort Drum, NY with one count of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs (first offense).

State Police said this arrest was made shortly after 6:00 p.m. At press time, police said that Safi was issued with an appearance ticket.

There were no further details provided.
