TROOPERS: Port Leyden resident charged in wake of property damage accident in St. Lawrence County

EDWARDS- A property damage accident in St. Lawrence County has resulted in charged filed against a local resident.

According to the New York State Police (Gouverneur), Michelle A. Baker, 53, of Port Leyden, NY was arrested on Monday morning for one count each of DWI (first offense) and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

Troopers said these charges stem from a town of Edwards property damage accident, which was reported sometime after 10:00 a.m. Monday.

At press time, authorities said that Baker was issued with an appearance ticket.
