UPDATE: Rome Police arrest, identify suspect in latest homicide investigation

ROME- City police investigators have arrested and identified a suspect in the latest homicide investigation pertaining to the death of Michael J. Brown.

On Monday morning, authorities said that Gregory L. Mignot Jr., 47, of Rome, NY was taken into custody during a search warrant execution at 200 N. Levitt Street - Apt. 417.

Mignot Jr. is charged with Murder in the second-degree, investigators said.

Mignot Jr. was arraigned in Rome City Court and was remanded without bail to the Oneida County Correctional Facility.

The Rome Police Special Investigations Unit, Oneida County Special Investigations Unit, and the NYSP VGNET assisted in the investigation.
