WEST TURIN- The driver who caused a head-on crash this week in the Southern end of Lewis County has been issued with numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law tickets.

It happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday on the West Road in the town of West Turin.

According to the Troop D Public Information Office, there was a collision between a Ford Ranger, driven by Warren L. Horne, 35, of Ava, NY and a Subaru, driven by Sarah L. Hall, 48, of Constableville, NY.

State Police said that Horne was heading south and passed on a double line (no passing zone). After encountering a curve in the roadway, authorities said that Horne was unable to maneuver safely and ended up colliding head-on with Hall.

Authorities report that Hall was taken to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

When asked about the severity of injuries, the State Police said non-life threatening as of this report Thursday.

Meanwhile, Horne was issued with 6 VTL tickets, which were left unspecified at press time.

An investigation is still pending, Troopers said.
