DWI arrest made for Lewis County resident in town of Champion

CHAMPION- A Lewis County resident stands accused of intoxicated driving in the North Country.

Samuel Tyler James, 23, of Copenhagen, NY was arrested and charged early Monday by the New York State Police (Carthage) for one count of DWI (first offense).

Troopers said this charge was filed sometime shortly before 2:00 a.m. in the town of Champion, Jefferson County.

At press time, authorities said that James was issued with an appearance ticket and that an investigation was pending.
