Investigation into the Death of Victor Craighead: Body worn camera and drone footage released by New York AG Office

The New York Attorney General's Office and the Office of Special Investigations continue looking into the death of Victor Craighead, who died on March 28, 2026 following an encounter with members of the New York State Police (NYSP) in the town of Diana, Lewis County.

OSI has released footage from a drone and a body-worn camera that a deputy was equipped with during the incident.

In terms of the case, no new developments have surfaced (to our knowledge) since the incident occurred earlier this spring.
