PORT LEYDEN- The proposition that would have revoked a local law allowing ATV traffic on select roads in the town of Leyden was defeated 3-2 Tuesday evening.
With such a massive public turnout consisting of ATV riders and enthusiasts, the meeting had to be re-located ahead of time to the Port Leyden Fire Hall.
As previously reported, a proposal was brought forth by town officials that would have made ATV traffic illegal on portions of the Neff, Ziegler and Fitch Roads.
Once word got out, there was heavy backlash from ATV enthusiasts.
Stay tuned, we plan on reaching out to town officials and to local ATV figures for a follow up.
