North Country resident charged for alleged criminal possession of a controlled substance and operating while impaired by drugs

TURIN- A traffic stop early Sunday afternoon in Lewis County resulted in charges filed against a North Country area resident.

Randy J. Myers, 39, of Carthage, NY was arrested and charged by the New York State Police (Lowville) for one count each of operating a motor vehicle (while impaired by drugs) and criminally possessing a controlled substance in the seventh-degree.

According to Troopers, these charges were filed shortly after 12:15 p.m. Sunday in the town of Turin.

At press time, authorities said that Myers was issued with an appearance ticket.
