NYSP: Domestic incident in Newport results in charge filed against local resident

NEWPORT- A reported domestic dispute this week in Herkimer County has resulted in the arrest of a local resident.

During the late hours on Tuesday, the New York State Police (Herkimer) formally charged Erica Clifford, 38, of Newport, NY with one misdemeanor count of acting in a manner injurious to a child (under the age of 17).

Troopers say this charge stems from a reported domestic incident that same evening in the town of Newport.

There was no arrest status for Clifford as of press time and there were no further details provided.
