Suspect accused of felony grand larceny and issuing bad check in town of Lowville

LOWVILLE- A resident from the Southern Tier is faced with charges here in Lewis County.

According to the New York State Police (Lowville), Charles E. Kehrer, 42, of Preble, NY was arrested on Tuesday morning on one felony count of grand larceny in the fourth-degree (property values > $1,000) and one misdemeanor of issuing a bad check (w/known insufficient funds).

Troopers said these charges have been filed in the wake of a complaint filed last November in the town of Lowville.

At press time, police said that an investigation was still pending. Kehrer’s arrest status was listed as “other.”

There were no further details provided.
