Out of state suspect allegedly broke victim’s wrist during Lewis County domestic incident

CROGHAN- Authorities say a suspect from out of state allegedly broke a victim’s wrist during a dispute last month in Lewis County.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Caleb R. Koval, 36, from Stow, OH for one felony count of assault in the second-degree.

On April 26, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a reported domestic incident on State Route 126 in the town of Croghan, where police say they located a victim suffering from a broken wrist.

Through investigation, Deputies learned that Koval reportedly pushed the victim during an argument, while holding on to their wrist, causing it to break.

Though Koval fled from the scene, authorities confirmed he was picked up a short time later by the New York State Police.

Following an arraignment, officials said that Koval was jailed on $1,500 cash bail. Koval is due to answer the accusation in Croghan Town Court at a later date.
