Road rage dispute results in three arrests in Lee

LEE- A road rage dispute last month has resulted in the arrest of three suspects in Oneida County.

On August 10, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Frenchtown and Streun Roads.

Stephen Hildenbrandt, 26, reportedly called in a road rage incident involving his GMC and a Ford Explorer.

Hildenbrandt and his passenger, Michael Allen Jr., 26, said they were struck by the Ford vehicle, but managed to obtain a license plate and a description of the driver.

Deputies soon located the Ford and the driver, Robert Colp, at a residence in the town of Lee.

Investigators learned that Michael and Stephen had allegedly punched Robert, causing physical injury to him. In the exchange, Robert had also caused damage to the GMC exceeding over $1,500.00.

Last Friday, the Sheriff’s Office formally charged both Hildenbrandt and Allen Jr. with felony assault in the second-degree.

On Monday, Colp was formally charged with felony criminal mischief in the second-degree.

All suspects turned themselves over to law enforcement before processing and awaiting further CAP Court proceedings.

Hildenbrandt and Allen Jr. posted bail and were released.
