Rome Man Accused of Criminal Impersonation in the Town of West Turin

TOWN OF WEST TURIN-A 35 year old Rome man was arrested Saturday after allegedly providing a false name to police during a welfare check in the Town of West Turin. Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputies charged Kyle W. Newton with one count of a misdemeanor charge of Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree. Deputies reported that Newton had an active bench warrant from the City of Rome that he was trying to avoid. He was processed at the Lewis County Public Safety Building and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of West Turin Court. He was subsequently turned over to Rome Police.
