Anthony Constantino Sheriff Carpinelli Endoresement June 2026

ROME- Lewis County Sheriff Michael Carpinelli has publically endorsed New York 21 Congressional Candidate, Anthony Constantino.

“Mr. Constantino has proven himself in the State of New York as a businessman who helps the people,” the Sheriff said.

“He is behind Making New York State Great Again. He wants to bring respect back to this area, and he will do that when he represents us in Washington. I’m proud to stand with him here today.”

“Sheriff Carpinelli is tough as nails,” Constantino replied.

“I am excited to work with him to ensure all law enforcement get the respect and support they need to keep our citizens happy and safe."

The businessman, former boxer and native to New York’s 21st Congressional District is going up against Robert Smullen in New York’s Primary Election for the Republican ticket.

Smullen, who is a Marine Veteran and New York State Assemblyman, was appointed by Donald Trump during his first Presidential term to serve for his Commission on White House Fellows, one of the nation’s most prestigious leadership advisory boards.

Meanwhile, North Country dairy farmer, Blake Gendebien, and businessman, Stuart Armoriell, are going up against one another for the Democratic ticket.

Current North Country Representative, Elise Stefanik (R), will not run for re-election for the first time since she originally won New York’s 21st Congressional District over a decade ago.

Keep an eye out for Tuesday’s primary voting results on North Country News.
