Sheriff's Office investigating fatal motorcycle accident in Watson

WATSON- The Sheriff's Office in Lewis County is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred Thursday evening.

According to investigators, it happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. on the Number Four Road.

As of press time Friday, authorities have determined that Kristopher M. Pignone, 44, of Lowville, NY was heading in a southwesterly direction on a Honda motorcycle.    

Deputies said Pignone lost control of the bike and crashed after venturing onto the shoulder of the roadway. 

He was pronounced deceased on-scene by emergency personnel. 

Members from the New York State Police, Lewis County Search & Rescue and Kafline's Towing all assisted. 

The accident remains under investigation.
