Suspect from Boonville accused of entering fenced yard, damaging homeowner property

BOONVILLE- A village resident is accused of entering a fenced yard and damaging property.

On Thursday, the Boonville Police Department announced the arrest of Zachary Kennison, 21, of Boonville, NY on one count each of criminal mischief in the fourth-degree and criminal trespass in the third-degree.

On Sunday, officers began investigating a trespass complaint on the Moose River Road.

Through security camera footage, the homeowner told police that they had observed a subject enter their fenced yard before damaging property.

The suspect was soon identified as Kennison. The incident occurred early Sunday during the overnight hours.

After processing, police said that Kennison was released with appearance tickets. All charges are returnable to Boonville Town Court at a later date.
